Passacaglia on a Theme from "Glorificamus"This step-wise theme by John Redford (1486-1547) makes the perfect foundation for this passacaglia. Simply stated and then embellished creating a forward-moving motion and making this piece a joy to play. Building to an ending crescendo, this piece would be wonderful as a processional, especially for a wedding. It is also a wonderful pedagogical piece for those transitioning from piano to organ, as the pedal part remains the same throughout.
